How the costs work
When an employee takes a car through The Electric Car Scheme, they pay for it from their gross salary, before Income Tax and National InsuranceThat salary reduction lowers your Employer National Insurance bill, creating a tax saving for your business each month. Those NI savings, combined with recoverable VAT on eligible lease costs, cover our fee in full. The result is straightforward.

It covers early vehicle returns triggered by redundancy, dismissal, long-term sickness and more, from the very first day of the scheme.

Employee pricing depends on the car they choose, their salary and their tax band. Because payments come from gross salary before Income Tax and National Insurance, most employees save between 20% and 50% compared to leasing the same car privately.
One monthly payment
We aggregate rates from the UK's leading lease funders and benchmark them through a single pricing engine, so employees always see the best available price across the market, not just the best price from one leasing company. One monthly payment then covers everything: the car, insurance, servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover.

We never publish fixed prices because lease rates change daily. Every quote is generated in real time through our quoting tool, giving employees an accurate figure they can act on straight away.
