Having an all-inclusive package for our colleagues. that covers the car, term, servicing, breakdown, insurance, and a home charge point is truly excellent.

— Abi Griffin, Head of Colleague Experience at Dreams

Established in 1985, Dreams is widely regarded as the most beloved bed retailer. Headquartered in High Wycombe, they have 2,300 colleagues across the UK, selling an impressive 14,000 mattresses, bases, and headboards per week to customers nationwide. The team is dedicated to helping customers find the perfect bed, offering a 100-night guarantee for added peace of mind. If you're not satisfied, Dreams will gladly exchange the bed.

In a noteworthy commitment to sustainability, Dreams joined the British Retail Consortium Climate Action Roadmap in 2022. This signifies their dedication to collaborating with partners to achieve a net-zero ambition for the retail industry by 2040. Demonstrating their eco-conscious approach, Dreams actively promotes their recycling service to customers, allowing them to responsibly dispose of their mattresses. Remarkably, 1 in 5 customers currently takes advantage of this service. Moreover, Dreams ensures responsible waste management, with 45% going to energy recovery and 55% being recycled in 2023.

As well as the sustainability aspect that naturally comes with implementing an electric car salary sacrifice scheme, Dreams wanted to attract and engage their current colleagues.

Discover Abi Griffin's experience in implementing The Electric Car Scheme for Dreams, as the Head of Colleague Experience at the company.

“At Dreams, we are passionate about being a force for good and we are committed to green and sustainability ambitions. A salary sacrifice scheme, such as the one offered by The Electric Car Scheme, is crucial for attracting, engaging, and retaining our colleagues. This scheme allows our team to access any electric car in the UK at the best price, a significant factor in choosing a salary sacrifice provider.

In addition to this, they provide Complete Risk Protection. Despite an extensive market search, we found no comparable solution that offers comprehensive coverage from day one for unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.

Having an all-inclusive package for our colleagues. that covers the car, term, servicing, breakdown, insurance, and a home charge point is truly excellent.

We’re excited to help our colleagues on their journeys to Net Zero.”

To be eligible for a Drive Day, your company must have more than 70 employees. This criterion is essential to guarantee an ample number of participants interested in driving the available vehicles, given the significant time and resources required for event organisation and funding. This is subject to approval and the final decision will be made by the team at The Electric Car Scheme
